Twin Magazine: Jermaine Francis, Words and Pictures

Kate Neave October 30, 2020

Pacing the deserted streets of London in lockdown, photographer Jermaine Francis felt compelled to document the graffiti and street art that broke the city’s deafening silence. Bringing his sensitive eye and sharp political mindset he photographed these written records of struggle, rebellion, hope outrage and despair. As part of this 12 page feature I facilitated a creative conversation between Jermaine Francis and Akinola Davies Junior about the urgent issues these images raise.

Twin Magazine is a biannual hardback art, fashion and feminism book available here
