Kate curated a collection of collaborative digital artworks called ‘New Mycelium Network’ bringing together cutting edge music talent with some of the most exciting names in visual art to create new work. The project was inspired by the networked roots of fungi. It took collaboration as a jumping off point for imaginative and creative departures in difficult times. When Hiroshima was destroyed by an atomic bomb in 1945, it is said that the first living thing to emerge from the blasted landscape was a matsutake mushroom. This highly valued fungi is a symbol of survival. It thrives only in collaboration with other species, cultivating rich and fertile spaces out of ruin. In the current moment, we put together transformative collaborations to find a way to live amongst a global state of precarity. We opened our imaginations... to create mushrooms. 

New Mycelium Network was launched at an immersive event across 270 degree screens at Aures London.
