Twin Magazine: Distant Voices, Still Lives, Hannah Starkey

Kate Neave January 24, 2023

The women in Hannah Starkey’s photographs don’t invite us to admire them or play to the crowd. They are independent, active women caught up in the own rich interior lives. They take up public space and express their inner strength and determination. Read my interview with this progressive feminist photographer on the occasion of her major solo show at the Hepworth Wakefield.

Twin Magazine is a biannual hardback art, fashion and feminism book available here
